Steven Harrington X Generic Surplus in Monster Children
In conjunction with the Steven Harrington for Generic Surplus desert boot launching Spring 12, Harrington and photographer Brigitte Sire headed to Joshua Tree to embark upon a journey based on the artist’s fascination with the legend of the crystal skulls.
Intrigued by the fact that all thirteen skulls were never discovered, Harrington took it upon himself to create and bury a crystal skull in the desert, hoping that his offering would produce the unearthing of the last remaining crystal skull known in existence: The thirteenth crystal skull, carrying the deepest secrets about the origins of the universe.
The result of the expedition is documented in a tear-out booklet included as part of the newest issue of Monster Children, one of our favorite magazines combining surfing, skateboarding, photography, and music.
Monster Children Issue 33 will be on sale at selected newsstands nationwide tomorrow, December 21st. Purchase Issue 33 at: http://monsterchildren.com/magazine/
